It will be interesting to see if this version of "Google" TV will be successful. I think it'll really depend on the content that is available to be "chromecasted". If it's just Netflix, YouTube and Pandora, I don't see the need for it. But if Chromecast is opened up to developers, allowing other content we can't otherwise get on our TV's, then maybe it can become transformative.

If it succeeds, Google Chromecast will transform TV into just a display screen, meaning the end of connected TVs.
What is not clear to me anyway is how TV channels can use Chromecast to distibute their content.
